Elon Boms:
Elon S. Boms, Managing Director of LaunchCapital LLC, has led LaunchCapital in making 25 investments across a broad range of industries.  Since co-founding the company in 2008, Elon has developed LaunchCapital’s presence across the US, opening 3 offices located in Boston, New Haven, and San Francisco.

Elon joins the Venture Capital community with significant experience in structuring biotech, consumer products and technology deals.  Prior to establishing LaunchCapital, Elon was a Management Consultant at Fidelity Investments where his work focused on strategy initiatives for investments in emerging markets.  Elon also worked in Corporate Finance for Citigroup.  He began his career as a brand manager at Georgia Pacific Company’s Dixie Foodservice division.  In this role, Elon assumed responsibility for a $125M business, orchestrated $25M in capital investments and engineered a complete profit turnaround for the paper cup business.

Elon earned his M.B.A from the Yale School of Management where he graduated with distinction in venture capital and a concentration in finance and strategy.  Elon completed his B.A. in Economics from George Washington University. Elon is an avid golfer, skier, and gourmet chef. He lives in Boston with his wife Stephanie and dog Bogey.

Konstantine Drakonakis:
Konstantine Drakonakis, P.E., Director of the New Haven Office of LaunchCapital LLC, brings over ten years of environmental and energy technology investment and engineering consulting experience to the LaunchCapital team.

Prior to joining LaunchCapital, Konstantine was at Connecticut Innovations, Inc., which administers the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund.  As the Manager of New Technology Investments and Infrastructure Development, Konstantine managed venture stage equity investments, project finance for beta and alpha stage prototype technology projects and clean energy infrastructure developments programs for the CCEF.

Prior to CII, Konstantine practiced as a consulting civil and environmental engineer with Milone & MacBroom, Inc. His design and regulatory expertise were employed on multiple industrial and commercial projects incorporating civil site and water resource design and natural resource planning.

Konstantine holds a Masters in Environmental Management from Yale University and a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Vermont. He is a board certified Professional Engineer and is a member of the National Civil Engineering Honors Society. Konstantine and his family live in New Haven, CT.

Bill McCullen:
Bill McCullen is Director of the Boston office of LaunchCapital.  Bill has several years experience as a private investor in companies in the networking, semiconductor, clean energy and on-line markets.  Prior to LaunchCapital Bill was a sell side equity analyst for Susquehanna Financial Group in Boston covering telecommunications and networking stocks.  Bill has also worked in senior product marketing and business development roles at local start-ups WindSpeed Access Systems, Teraphase and Sycamore Networks. Bill began his career at Lucent Technologies where he held a variety of technical and marketing positions.

Bill received his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management.  Bill is a lifelong Bostonian who currently lives in the suburbs with his wife and 3 children. When he has time he enjoys playing basketball and cycling.

Heather Onstott:
Heather Onstott joins LaunchCapital’s Boston office as Director of the Small Business division.  Heather brings with her 13 years of commercial banking experience, having worked as a market manager with legacy Wachovia Bank of Charlotte, NC, and a commercial loan officer with regional Palmetto Bank of Laurens, SC.  Most recently, Heather was a consultant with Fidelity Investments, where she focused on designing and implementing strategic business plans and creating pricing strategies.  She has been an elected officer to several nonprofit boards and continues to be an active volunteer with Comfort Zone Camp, a nationwide bereavement camp for children.

Heather holds a BA in Economics and French from Wofford College, and a MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.  A New Hampshire native and avid Red Sox fan, she enjoys flying small planes and spending time outdoors.  She and her fiancé live in Cambridge with their übermutt, Hobson.
