Elon Boms Managing Director
Elon co-founded LaunchCapital in January 2008 to help entrepreneurs gain quick access to seed capital and mentorship. With a passion for working with industry disruptors and teams that have a strong business development focus, Elon has been involved in over 75 deals across a wide range of industries and geographies. He holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a BA in Economics from George Washington University. His prior work experience includes brand management, strategy consulting and finance. Elon lives in Connecticut with his wife, newborn daughter, and very shaggy dog.

Konstantine Drakonakis Director, New Haven
Konstantine is an experienced early stage investor focused on proprietary technologies in the tri-state NY region. As an "Entrepreneurial Engineer", Konstantine gravitates to technology companies within the software, med-tech and green-tech markets. He holds a Masters in Environmental Management from Yale University and a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Vermont. He is a board certified Professional Engineer and is a member of the National Civil Engineering Honors Society. Konstantine lives in New Haven with his wife and 2-year old son. When he can, he finds a Zen moment in his garden.

Tom Egan Associate
Tom is an associate at LaunchCapital and a mentor to many early startups in the local community. In addition to his diligence work, Tom is often found at TechStars where he serves as an advisor. Tom is a former high school economics teacher turned entrepreneur. Prior to joining LaunchCapital, Tom lived through the full life cycle of a VC-backed startup. Tom earned his BA in Economics from Middlebury College. A native New Yorker, Tom evens out the Yankee fan contingent at LaunchCapital.

John Lanahan Associate
As an associate, John is responsible for performing due diligence on potential opportunities, sourcing new deal flow, and aiding current portfolio companies' industry research and mentorship. He is primarily interested in companies with strong teams, an initial revenue model, and proof of concept. He graduated from Middlebury College in 2008 with a B.A. in Economics and has a finance background. John is an avid sports fan and a former Division III college athlete that refuses to hang up his cleats, even though it may be in his best interest. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, John is one of the very few diehard Jaguar fans out there.

Bill McCullen Director, Boston
Bill is an experienced private investor, with over 7 years backing companies in the networking, semiconductor, clean energy and online markets. Bill has been in/around the Boston startup scene for close to 15 years, previously holding senior level roles at companies such as Sycamore Networks. Bill received his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Bill is a lifelong Bostonian who currently lives in the suburbs with his wife and 3 children. When he has time he enjoys playing basketball and cycling.

Heather Onstott Director, Small Business
With over 15 years of credit and small business experience, Heather joined LaunchCapital in 2009 to help create the Small Business division. She looks for startups with smooth growth expectations as well as established small businesses needing to restore traditional financing relationships. Heather earned her BA at Wofford College and her MBA at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. An avid Red Sox fan and enthusiastic pilot, Heather lives in Cambridge with her cute mutt and brilliant husband.

Dave Shen Director, SF Bay Area
Dave is a mentor and strategist to internet/tech/mobile startups of all sorts, with a focus on product/UX strategy and development. He is focusing on investments in the Bay area and NYC. Prior to joining the LaunchCapital team, Dave was an angel investor for 5 years. During this time, he invested in over 35 companies and has 4 exits. He was an early Yahoo! employee where he ran UX for almost 9 years. Dave lives and works in 3 places: SF Bay, LA, and NYC.

Elizabeth Swartz Office Manager
Elizabeth draws on her studio art background to find her sense of order and attention to detail to keep the LaunchCapital team organized. When not project managing or painting, you will likely find her with her husband at a hockey rink (near or very, very far) cheering on one of her three teenagers.

Michael Vlock and Karen Pritzker
Mr. Vlock and Ms. Pritzker run the Pritzker/Vlock family office. The enterprise owns and
manages a broad portfolio of public equities, consumer, biotech, industrial and
medical equipment and technology businesses, several venture funds, real
estate, and has substantial private equity ownership of Global Hyatt
Corporation, TransUnion LLC, Triton Container International Corporation and
the Marmon Group. They are involved in numerous national philanthropic
efforts individually and through their family foundation with emphasis on literacy,
education, medicine, theatre and land preservation.
Ms. Pritzker received a B.A. from Northwestern University.
Mr. Vlock received a B.A. from Hampshire College and a J.D. from
Boston College School of Law.
